New Tap Density Tester Can Perform  EP, ASTM, USP 1 and USP 2 Tests

When I was in high school, my friends and I liked to get together around Christmas time to wrestle and box each other.  We felt it provided some good fellowship and the opportunity for one of us to enter the next year on a high note.

It's not like UFC now, it was much tamer.  However, one of the marks of our toughness was the refusal to tap when ensnared in a submission hold.  This was our version of a tap density tester.  There was always a certain point where enough force was exerted that most of us would tap out.  It was stupid, but there was a lot pride there and we all felt there was a lot at stake.  We also gave each other grief when one of us did, indeed, swallow his pride and tap out.

Nowadays, I feel like I have a great appreciation for the mark of a good tap density tester. On LabX, we have a number of them available in our Test Equipment - Pharma category, including the new Sotax TD1 Tap Density Tester.  The TD1 is great because can handle EP, ASTM, USP 1 and USP 2 Tests.  It's easy to operate, and can help you determine the tapped density and tapped volumes of powders, granules, pellets, flakes and other bulk substances.
