The Savant FastPrep FP120 is a benchtop reciprocator designed for efficient disruption of cell membranes. The FP120 can lyse up to 12 FastPrep sample tubes simultaneously using a patented vertical angular motion: a rapid, reciprocating figure-8 that causes a sample to be pulverized by specialized lysing matrices from multiple directions at once. This allows users to homogenize difficult to lyse samples quickly and consistently within 40 seconds.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.

Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.

We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit.
