Invitrogen BenchPro 4100

The Invitrogen BenchPro 4100 Card Processing Station is a device designed, according to its manual, "For automated processing of routine washing and reagent incubation steps of standard laboratory procedures." The system uses electronic solenoids to modulate the transfer of compressed air and vacuum to a disposable card to automatically execute routine steps in standard laboratory procedures, such as western immunodetection.

The BenchPro 4100 is used with the BenchPro 4100 Western Card for western blotting applications. The card holds the membrane to be processed in a Blot Holder. It has an operating temperature of 4-40°C and a throughput of 1 to 4 membranes per run. Its processing time varies with each protocol. Additionally, the BenchPro 4100 measures 18.6 inches wide, 23.9 inches deep, and 12.7 inches tall and weighs 30 pounds (or 13.6 kg).
