Thermo Niton

Thermo Niton

In 1999, Thermo Scientific introduced the first high-performance, isotope-based handheld XRF analyzers. In 2002, they pioneered the use of miniaturized x-ray tube technology in a handheld XRF analyzer. Since then they have worked to combine industry-leading expertise with our extensive research & development resources to produce the Niton XL3.

Engineered for high performance, reliability and ease of use. Our rock-solid instrument platform is purpose-built for the most demanding customer applications: analysis of metal alloys for PMI, scrap metal recycling, toy and consumer goods screening, RoHS compliance, and QA/QC in the manufacturing environment. NITON analyzers also lead the way in performing analysis of soils and sediments, environmental monitoring, geochemical mapping, art, archaeometry and forensic analysis, and lead in paint assessment. Providing an analytical range from magnesium (12) through the transuranic elements, the NITON XL3 Series XRF analyzer features better detection limits, shorter measurement times, increased productivity, higher profit and lower long-term cost of ownership for our many thousands of customers around the world.

Thermo Scientific™ Niton portable analytical instruments deliver instant, actionable data for quick decision making in critical situations. Combining sophisticated technologies and an incredibly easy-to-use interface, our portable analyzers provide rapid, reliable chemical identification and material verification to increase throughput, raise quality and reduce risk—in virtually any location, field environment, or weather condition.
