How do I bid on an item?

To place a bid on an item you found on LabX, please follow these steps:

1. Register or Sign In on www.labx.com.
2. Locate the ad you wish to bid on.
3. Scroll towards the bottom of the ad to the Bid Box.
4. Under Enter your US$ bid here, enter the amount you wish to bid.
5. Click Send Bid.

After submitting your bid, it will appear under Bid History, which is located to the left of the Bid Box. The current highest bidder will always be at the top.

You can receive email notification if you are outbid up to 10 minutes prior to closing. To receive this notification, please follow these steps:

1. Log onto www.labx.com.
2. Click My LabX from the top menu bar.
3. Under LabX Members, Account Information, click User Preferences.
4. Under Ad/Classified Emails, check the Outbid Notice box.
5. Click Save Changes.

LabX also offers a LiveBid feature to allow for real-time bid entering and monitoring.

To use the LiveBid feature while bidding on an item, please follow these steps:

1. Log onto www.labx.com.
2. Locate the ad you wish to bid on.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the ad to the Bid Box.
4. Click the red LiveBid button found in Bid Box.
5. The LabX LiveBid window will open.
6. Under Enter Your Bid, enter the amount you wish to bid.
7. Click Send Bid.

When you submit your bid, your name, email address and phone number will be made available to the seller so that they may communicate with you about the final details of the transaction.
