New! Light-shielding plastic volumetric flasks

BrandTech Scientific has introduced a safe, breakage-resistant alternative to conventional amber glass volumetric flasks for working with light-sensitive substances. Manufactured by BrandTech’s German affiliate, VITLAB, the specially pigmented PMP plastic is virtually opaque in the UV range and delivers substantially lower light transmission and more consistent opacity to visible and UV light than even high-quality brown glass.

Features:

• Available in sizes from 10 to 1000ml with PP screw caps .
• Offer accuracy to Class A standards even after autoclaving at temperatures up to 121°C.
• Flasks may also be sterilized with formalin or ethanol, or by ß-radiation and are microwavable.
• Excellent resistance to acids, alkalis and alcohols at room temperature.
• Good to limited (short-exposure) resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons, aldehydes, ketones and esters.
