Kimble Kontes Cytostir Bioreactor, 19-liter

The CYTOSTIR line of double sidearm stirred bioreactors for microcarrier cell culture has been completely redesigned to improve performance and enhance interchangeability. The borosilicate glass flasks have two large sidearms with screw cap closures that allow easy sampling. The dome in the center of the flask base prevents microcarriers from accumulating directly under the stirring blades. The large, height adjustable Teflon® stirring blades are designed to provide maximum stirring efficiency to keep microcarriers in suspension at the slow stirring speeds required for tissue culture. During stirring, cultures contact only borosilicate glass and Teflon. All flasks have anti-drip pour lips and polypropylene caps with sealing rings. All CYTOSTIR bioreactors and components are completely steam autoclavable.

Stirrer Components: Paddle, shaft, magnet coating and center cap filling are Teflon. Stirring Rod is borosilicate glass. O-Ring is food-grade Viton®.

Caps: Center is Teflon-lined polypropylene Sidearms are blue polypropylene with a sealing ring.
