Keeler’s VantagePlus LED Slimline Lightens Up BIO Exams
Lightweight, wireless indirect ophthalmoscope is eco-friendly

Keeler has expanded its popular VantagePlus range of indirect ophthalmoscopes with VantagePlus LED Slimline. The new model improves image clarity and ease of examination with a comfortable, wireless instrument. The LED technology used both increases imaging quality and reduces environmental impact.
The VantagePlus LED Slimline uses an LED lamp for a brighter, whiter light that illuminates the retina with greater detail. Its intelligent optical system automatically changes the optics and mirrors when the aperture is adjusted, improving examinations by providing 3D stereoscopic views of the retina through all pupil sizes. A new patented Himag™ lens provides 1.6x additional magnification compared to a standard condensing lens and can simply be flipped out of view when not being used.
While a conventional incandescent bulb lasts 60 hours, LED lamps are rated for a lifetime of 10,000 hours. With typical binocular indirect use, this works out to over 167 regular bulbs destined for landfills, compared to a single LED lamp in the Keeler VantagePlus LED Slimline.
The indirect allows the mobility of a wireless instrument, without sacrificing comfort or convenience. A new slimline lithium battery weighs less than two ounces and provides up to six hours of use on a single charge. The VantagePlus LED Slimline has been designed with a new cushioned headband that can be adjusted to fit perfectly on heads of all shapes and sizes.
