Patient monitor testing featuring:

ECG testing
ECG simulator is used to test ECG performance of patient monitor. Even portable patient monitors may include arrhythmia interpretive alarms. Incorrect arrhythmia identification and alarm can cause errors in diagnosis and administration of medications.

NIBP (Non-invasive Blood Pressure) testing
NIBP simulator is used to test NIBP performance, most important, NIBP repeatability, of a patient monitor. Modern monitors use an oscillometric technique which monitors the changes in cuff pressure caused by the flow of blood through the artery to measure blood pressure non-invasively. Inaccurate blood pressure readings from a poorly-performing patient monitor could result in incorrect diagnosis which could impact a patient's health and drug treatment.

Oximetry or SpO2 testing
Oximeter or SpO2 Analyzer is used to test performance of Oximetry. Pulse oximeters use wavelengths of two lights (infrared light at 940 nm and red light at 660 nm), which are absorbed by either oxyhemoglobin or the reduced hemoglobin to measure arterial oxygen-saturation level (SpO2). Masimo Rainbow technology uses more than 7 wavelengths of lights to non-invasively acquire blood constituent data including SpO2, CO (Carbon Monoxide), Hb, and metHb based on light absorption.

All-in-one multi-function patient simulator
As monitors become smarter, performing functional testing with all parameters in synch will become more important. ProSim, Vital Sign Simulator is the choice of future patient monitor testing tool. The ProSim 8 all-in-one multifunction tester is the smartest patient simulator in the world for comprehensive patient monitor testing. Designed to perform most preventive maintenance (PM) testing in five minutes or less, ProSim 8 simultaneously simulates ECG, respiration, temperature, IBP/cardiac catheterization, cardiac output, NIBP, and SpO2—and is the only testing tool in the world capable of testing new Masimo multi-wavelength SpO2 Rainbow SET—in physiologically synchronized pulses.
