The PYRO-XL includes all the design features of the PYRO.
In addition, the PYRO-XL includes a quartz tube which leads from the microwave chassis to the roof of the large volume (5 L) muffle furnace. The quartz tube enables fumes generated during the ashing process to be directly exhausted insuring instrument longevity and minimum preventative maintenance. Other microwave furnaces speed up the airflow through the cavity, yet still force the fumes through the exhaust fan. This results in more operator maintenance and, more importantly, greatly reduces fan lifetime due to corrosion.
The PYRO-XL’s exhaust duct is made of stainless steel to eliminate diffusion of odors into the laboratory and insures a comfortable working environment.
