New Product: Instrument Specialists STA and TGA

with FT-IR

Instrument Specialists' STA (Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer) and TGA (Thermogravimetric Analyzer) instruments are designed to be coupled with the *Nicolet FT-IR* for gas analysis. Both the STA and TGA measure weight changes as a function of temperature or time and allow for the real time monitoring of evolved gases from the sample. The STA or TGA is connected to the FT-IR via a heated transfer line. As gases evolve during the TGA experiment, they pass into the flow cell in the FT-IR where the infrared spectra is collected. The TGA-IR is beneficial in determining sample characteristics such as decomposition pathways, thermal stability or sample integrity.
