| The Tissue-Tek II Vacuum Infiltrator model 4613 was designed primarily to provide liquid paraffin in a vacuum environment to insure removal of air voids (de-gassing) and clearing agents from processed specimens. The Vacuum Infiltrator may also be utilized for formalin fixation prior to processing. An aluminum basket with slotted vents is provided as a container for capsules and/or cassettes. The temperature of the bath is regulated by a control lever on the front of the unit. The thermostat is factory-set to maintain an operating temperature of approximately 60 C. Domed cover has a magnetic vacuum relief valve and nozzle lead for vacuum line attachment. A vacuum of 10-15 inches Hg for 10 to 15 minutes is recommended. Power Requirements: 115VAC, 60Hz, 100 watts. Overall Dimensions: 152 x 178 x 235mm(6 x 7 x 9-1/4 ). Weight: 2.3 kg (5 lbs.) |
