Solartron ModuLab XM ECS electrochemical test station. This system is a high-performance, modular platform optimized for Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), battery research, fuel cell development, and high-temperature materials characterization.

Unlike many "surplus" units, this system has been recently powered on, stabilized, and verified functional using Solartron-certified test cells. It includes the NorECs ProboStat sample holder, including the kit with Platinum and Gold leads/sealing rings, making it a turnkey solution for solid-state ionics and advanced material science.

Hardware Verification & Condition

Functional Status: System passes all internal self-tests and software handshakes. Videos of the successful test runs are available upon request.
Verified Accuracy: FRA, Pstat, and internal 2A Booster modules have been tested against Solartron Test Cell and 0.1 Ohm test cell, matching factory-expected output.
Maintenance History: Unit was professionally calibrated by the manufacturer in late 2015 and has been held in climate-controlled storage since.
Cosmetic Note: Minor cosmetic crack on the front bezel plastic trim (purely aesthetic, does not affect shielding or performance). I took a zoomed in photo so you can see it is on the trim.

This listing includes a NorECs ProboStat High-Temperature Sample Holder (Standard Kit), which allows for electrical measurements up to 1600°C. This kit includes everything seen in the photos, including the precious metal leads/sealing rings (Platinum and Gold).

Original manuals for Solartron Modulab and ProboStat are included.

Included Testing Cables and Cells ($3,500+ Value)

This listing also includes the Solartron Modulab Test Cell, and the Modulab 0.1 ohm Cell, which are both needed for self testing the FRA, Pstat, and Booster 2A modules are functioning correctly. These are between $3,500 and $4,500 new from Ametek. In addition, this cable and testing kit has multiple additional leads/pins, allegator clips, and cables that appear to be correct for other modules.

This equipment is very advanced equipment and not something I normally deal with. I purchased this from a research facility that was closing. This equipment was in pristine condition and came with the ProboStat equipment kit. I personally picked up the items to ensure there was no damage during transportation. I purchased the Solartron test cells separately in order to fully verify the item was working correctly. I took videos of the test and can run any other tests a verified purchaser may wish to see.

This equipment will professionally double-boxed/crated and must be shipped via insured carrier. Buyer may also arrange their own freight pickup from Texas, US. Since this will include the Solartron Modulab unit as well as the ProboStat kit/case, dimensions will be larger than just for the Solartron. I am committed to the safe arrival of this sensitive equipment.

I am available to personally deliver the unit within the general Texas area if that provides peace of mind for the buyer. We will discuss final logistics and insurance prior to checkout to ensure the safest and most cost-effective method.
