Motic was created in 1988 as a hi-tech industrial enterprise specializing in the manufacturing of conventional compound microscopes. Owned by Speed Fair Co., Ltd., the company has grown into a global family consisting of Financial, Administration and International Marketing offices in Hong Kong together with our Sales Offices in the United States, Canada, Germany and Spain. Our manufacturing base in China consists of five fully-owned subsidiaries manufacturing components for the company with Motic Xiamen acting as production headquarters of the company. It plays an important role not only as the manufacturing center, but also as an ideal location for research and development. We have an established R&D center in Xiamen with over 100 professional engineers and technicians, covering industrial design, mechanical, optical, electronics, software and multi-media aspects. In early 1998, the company started to explore and develop the manufacture of digital microscopy solutions, digital imaging products and application software. This successful transition marked a milestone for the company turning Motic into one of the leading brand names in digital microscopy. Our manufacturing base is certified ISO9001 and ISO14000. Motic products are available to endusers worldwide through our established international sales and distribution network. Motic is now proud to count more than 2500 members to its workforce and we look ahead to further years of growth and development.
