KEYENCE VK-9700 Laser Scanning Microscope

The KEYENCE VK-9700 is a 3D laser scanning confocal microscope. It can measure the dimensions, angle, cross-section, or R-value of a straight line or curved cross-section profile. It also enables non-contact line roughness measurements and surface roughness of a given area. The VK-9700 can also perform high-resolution observations up to 18000x magnification, and the images are in focus across the whole observation field.

This microscope combines the functionalities of an optical microscope, a scanning electron microscope (SEM), and a roughness gauge into a single unit. It is capable of performing profile, roughness, and thickness measurements with 1 nanometer resolution on nearly any material. This is achieved without the need for sample preparation.
