The PerkinElmer Victor3 is a versatile, multilabel, multitask plate reader designed for a variety of light-emitting and light-absorbing detection technologies. It supports fluorescence (top and bottom), luminescence, absorbance, UV absorbance, time-resolved fluorometry, and fluorescence polarization.

The Victor3 models accept all types of microplates from 1- to 1536-wells, as well as petri dishes, slides, filters, Terasaki- and PCR plates. Plates can be easily loaded thanks to the optional 20- or 40-plate stackers. Victor3 readers can also be used with plate robots through the ActiveX/COM interface, which facilitates OLE automation. It comes with several standard features such as temperature control, shaking, scanning, top and bottom reading, dual window TRF, below fluorescence reading, dual ratio measurements, and kinetics. The temperature control feature has a range from 2°C above ambient up to 45°C.

The Victor3 is designed for a wide range of applications, including cell-based applications (cytotoxicity, cell viability/proliferation/quantification/adhesion, calcium uptake, and more), binding studies, environmental toxins, food monitoring, kinetics, molecular biology, quantifications, toxicology, and drug screening.
