The DynaPro® Plate Reader II performs high-throughput, automated dynamic light scattering (DLS) measurements on macromolecular and nanoparticle samples directly in situ in industry-standard 96, 384, or 1536 well microplates, using as little as 1.5 µL of sample and 5 seconds acquisition time per well. With no sample carryover concerns, these capabilities greatly improve formulation screening for particle size, aggregation, thermal stability (via the unfolding temperature TM or aggregation temperature Tonset), colloidal stability (via the diffusion interaction parameter kD or D1), and even the viscosity of highly concentrated protein solutions.
The DYNAMICS® software for control, data acquisition and analysis offers an API which supports full integration with industry leading liquid handling robotics. Samples can be loaded in duplicate or triplicate, and scanned several times, providing a true measure of data repeatability and reproducibility. Outside of the formulation lab, DLS measurements can be performed in the DynaPro Plate Reader II in less time and without the hassles of conventional cuvette-based DLS.
