Azenta Life Sciences has expanded its FluidX line with Electron-Beam (E-Beam) treated externally threaded tubes, providing laboratories and biorepositories with a sterile, chemical-free solution for sample storage. The E-Beam treatment is now available for FluidX tubes in 0.5ml, 0.9ml, 1.0ml, 1.9ml, and 7.6ml sizes, meeting the diverse needs of life sciences applications.

E-Beam sterilization offers precise, controlled surface decontamination with uniform dose distribution, ensuring consistent treatment across the entire surface of the tubes. This method eliminates the use of chemicals, reducing the risk of residual contaminants that could compromise sample integrity.

Complementing Azenta's existing gamma irradiation services, the E-Beam treated tubes are validated to a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10⁻³, providing customers with flexible options for sterile sample storage and handling requirements.
